Change your clocks, change your batteries

Everyone should change their smoke alarm batteries when they change their clocks at the end of daylight saving (25 March 2007) to help prevent further deaths in house fires. [Clocks are put back one hour at 3am on Sunday morning]

Sometimes, when there is a fire, people will try to telephone their local fire station. As most fire stations in the Blue Mountains are manned by either volunteer or part-time firefighters, the stations are unlikely to be manned.
