Call 000 for all fire emergencies
Fire Services are encouraging people to remember to call 000 for ALL fire incidents
Sometimes, when there is a fire, people will try to telephone their local fire station. As most fire stations in the Blue Mountains are manned by either volunteer or part-time firefighters, the stations are unlikely to be manned.
When you need the Fire Services, you should simply call '000'. One call will put you straight through to the emergency communications people who can take your call and dispatch the appropriate services to assist you. Calling the local station directly may mean the loss of prescious minutes in the fire brigades getting to you.
Report ALL Fires to '000'!
